BirthSys Version 4.0 development
by rvinke - 27/03/2002
Currently I've started with the development of BirthSys 4.0. I'm trying to get the script easier to use, that mainly means that the number of files will be reduced. A major improvement in my opinion is the usage of the php miniauth script to remove the password protection that exists in version 3.x. Version 4.0 will be compatible with version 3.0 or higher. Users of older versions cannot update. Expected release date: 01/05/2002

BirthSys Version 3.1 ready for download
by rvinke - 14/11/2001

Version 3.1 is the final release of BirthSys v3.x. With thanks to Manica (www.oberhexe.de) I proudly present the improved BirthSys. The new features are:

- The script just uses one table, so your MySQL database won't be full with unnecessary tables.
- An Admin section is added, with password protection, so unauthorized users can't delete birthdays.
- Added a year field, for future functions.
- Added a function to show someones sign. It is also possible to show a picture of that sign. (Pictures not yet included).
- Full CSS support for text and form-elements. So easy changing of text layout, by editing the CSS file. You can also use an existing CSS document.
- It isn't possible anymore to add "blank" birthdays and test messages.
- The usage of language packs, all the userpage (not the admin pages), can be easily translated.

A running demo can be viewed from the demo section. Don't forget to add your birthday!

BirthSys Version 3.0a!
by rvinke - 30/10/2001

A ALPHA version of BirthSys v3.0 has been tested and proved to be working. The new version has changed on some crucial points, some thank their origin to comment of users.

The changes are:

- Now the script just uses one (yes 1) table, instead of the 12 it did before. (tip from P. Boone)
- Yeah! Finally a working admin section that is not usable for everyone! (tip from Manica)
- Added a "year" field, so you could show the age of someone in the database.

Version 1.0 Released today!
by rvinke - 23/05/2001

The first version of LinkSys has been released today. This script is a system to keep a simple weblog. With this script you can add links with a description and show them very easily on your (main)page. Also included a script to show all the links added. In my opinion a very usefull script.
